pay.2nth.ai is a knowledge surface for the people who run payments — built so a human can read it, an agent can load it, and a domain expert stands behind every word.
pay.2nth.ai covers every payment mode — cash, cards, acquiring, issuing, SoftPOS, account-to-account and instant, mobile money, wallets, cross-border, crypto and stablecoin — the rails beneath them, the compliance that governs them, the regions that change them (South Africa, wider Africa, the Middle East, Europe), and the training that certifies the people.
Every leaf is dual-purpose: a reference a payments professional reads, and structured context an AI agent loads. The agent surface is the /api/context endpoint — the same content, rendered as agent-friendly markdown.
It is built for payments executives and consulting roles, and for the ecosystem around them: PayInc, banks' payments teams, PSPs, schemes, processors, fintechs and regulators' counterparties. The voice is the experienced colleague, not the brochure — honest decision guides that tell you when not to use something, grounded in the local regulatory reality rather than generic theory.
Payments regulation never stops moving, so the base cannot be hand-maintained. A research & regulatory-watch agent continuously monitors the regulators and the rails — SARB, PayInc, PCI, FATF, PSD3, MiCA, SAMA, CBUAE — and opens proposed updates as pull requests.
Nothing publishes on its own. Every change is moderated by a payment domain-expert partner who reviews it on a preview deploy and approves it before it merges. Every Live leaf then carries a reviewer and a review date. The machine does the watching and drafting; the human decides what is true.
Agents run on Cloudflare edge models by default; registered partners get Gemini or Claude via API for deep, ad-hoc work. Model choice is configuration, never lock-in.
Reference content — what each mode, rail and region is — stays open. Opinionated decision content, the role agents, and the training tracks are member tier (free, instant, via the join form). Partners are the domain experts who moderate changes and get frontier-model APIs for deep work.
pay.2nth.ai is a standalone surface in the 2nth.ai ecosystem, built on the same architecture as the sibling knowledge tree at know.2nth.ai. It is open-source — the repo is 2nth-ai/pay-2nth, and the contribution flow is in CONTRIBUTING.md.
